2. What data we collect
Proline Rewrite is designed with privacy by default. We minimize data collection to only what is strictly necessary for the app to function.

3. How your text is processed
When you submit text for rewriting, it is sent via encrypted HTTPS connection to OpenAI’s API for processing. OpenAI processes the text and returns the rewritten version. According to OpenAI’s API data usage policy (effective March 2023 and updated), API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models and are retained for a maximum of 30 days for abuse monitoring, then deleted.
We do not store, log, or retain any text you submit. Once the rewritten result is returned to your device, the transaction is complete.

5. Legal basis for processing (GDPR Art. 6)
We process data under the following legal bases:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): You provide explicit consent before your text is sent for AI processing, via the in-app consent screen shown before first use.
- Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): Processing subscription status is necessary to provide the service you purchased.
6. Your rights under GDPR
As an EU resident, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: Request what data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data. Since we don’t store text content or personal data, this is inherently satisfied. To delete your RevenueCat anonymous profile, contact us.
- Right to data portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to withdraw consent: You can stop using the app at any time. Uninstalling the app effectively withdraws consent for all processing.
- Right to lodge a complaint: With your local data protection authority. In Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

7. Data retention
We do not retain any text you submit for processing. Subscription data is managed by RevenueCat and Google Play and is retained as long as your subscription is active. If you uninstall the app, locally stored preferences are deleted from your device.
8. Data transfers
Text is sent to OpenAI servers located in the United States. This transfer is covered by OpenAI’s Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. RevenueCat processes data in the United States under their DPA.
9. Security
All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. No personal data is stored on our servers. Payment information is handled exclusively by Google Play and never passes through our systems.
10. Children’s privacy
This app is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
